I\u2019ve done some fiction and scriptwriting and I live in Singapore.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>How did you come up with the idea for your story?<\/strong><\/p><p>I was considering ideas and thought about how you could leave messages. A dollhouse came to mind because I was in a toy store and saw a dollhouse with partially open and closed windows. I watched and listened to videos and podcasts about quantum physics and eventually settled on a couple of ideas. I actually wrote two stories but felt\u00a0<em>Prism\u00a0<\/em>was stronger and entered that.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>What was your quantum inspiration?<\/strong><\/p><p>There were various. Multiverse and superposition were the main ideas that made it. I suppose writing a story is like coming up with different multiverses and selecting one track to go down.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>What was your writing process like?<\/strong><\/p><p>I write in short bursts of twenty minutes. After that, it\u2019s a lot of refinement and fine-tuning.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>What is your favourite science-inspired book?<\/strong><\/p><p><em>A Brief History of Time<\/em>\u00a0by Stephen Hawking, though it\u2019s been a while. I also love Mary Roach\u2019s books. She\u2019s great at making difficult ideas approachable.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>What does being a Quantum Shorts finalist mean to you?<\/strong><\/p><p>It\u2019s a great honour! I\u2019ve read some of the past stories and they are brilliant.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Is there anything else you would like to tell us about you or your story?<\/strong><\/p><p>I enjoyed writing it and have changed it numerous times.
